Teaching the “Periphery” of Leadership Does Not Produce Leaders. According to Erhard et al (2022).
Educating or training leaders based on some description of leadership (the traits, styles, or personality characteristics of exceptional leaders, plus a set of principles or rules of action for leading) derived from some model or theory of leadership does not leave students being leaders and exercising leadership effectively as their natural self-expression.
That is, educating people on the peripheral elements of leadership does not develop leaders.
It is useful, instructive and interesting to study noteworthy leaders, particularly after completing the Being A Leader course.
